Receiving this Actavia scholarship will boost my self-confidence, knowing that I not only completed a very important task, but also took the responsibility of creating a foundation for getting me closer to my career goals. This scholarship award will push me further towards the successful completion of my Project Management postgraduate degree and my dreams of one day having a successful career as a reputable and successful project manager and business analyst within the next three years.

I believe in the importance of earning a masters degree. Therefore, I plan to work extra hard to obtain a Masters degree in Project Management at Distinction by 2019. This scholarship will help by reducing my stress over the lack of money and giving me the opportunity to focus on a well rounded postgraduate study and university experience. I do freelance work on the side as a social media manager and singer, but I still have to take out student loans as I don't make enough money to live on.

Being the first generation in my family
to attend university, I have always aspired to achieve the best results possible, which is why I worked really hard to achieve a 1st class degree from De Montfort university in June 2018 in my Health Studies BA Hons degree. I am now aiming for a distinction in my masters degree by 2019.  I am very motivated to complete my schooling, and the relief that a scholarship would provide me would allow me more time and energy to excel and focus on my studies.

I feel blessed that I am given the opportunity to be awarded this scholarship to help fulfill my dream and I will prove that I do have what it takes to not only be a successful and outstanding student, but an outstanding project manager. This scholarship would mean the world to me. I intend to independently work my way through completing my masters degree at university without any financial assistance apart from student loan. Three years from now, I see myself employed at a large business firm, managing projects, planning, evaluating, and resolving organisational matters.

I am really looking forward to working in a solid career, in the Project Management field in less than five years. This is a great path for a lifelong career. I am excited that I can start to work in the field of Project management in a relatively short amount of time, but will also have opportunities for mobility in the field e.g. moving to the post of a consultant business analyst later on. This scholarship would help me complete my studies concisely and allow me the best opportunity to fully grasp the material to the best of my ability.

I would be so appreciative and grateful for the scholarship award. Specifically, I will use the scholarship award to pay for books that are necessary to read during my postgraduate study and also afterwards, to help with projects that I take on. I will also use the award to pay for any membership fees for joining professional bodies within the Project Management sector. More importantly, this award will help with my living costs such as accommodation fees, transportation costs and feeding costs during the duration of my postgraduate study.
